Click and send. That’s how, thanks to social media, I can communicate with my friends all over the world. It takes less than a second to send a message checking in on a friend, whether they are from Israel or Chile. The first messages I sent were to my friends in Israel, their safety was compromised in the front line. As my family also knows people currently serving as Jailim, our messages went to them as well, luckily, they're all safe.

Click and send. That's how fast I can communicate with people from over 60 countries to write and produce incredible articles in the Shofar. The possibility of creating moving articles in multiple languages of learning from one another gave me strength, the strength only found in unity. Over 30 articles have been posted about different aspects of the war, from transmitting a sense of hope or talking about what we could do to providing mental health resources. I didn’t admit this at first, but these articles are really what kept me strong the first few days.

Click and send. That's how easy it is to invite members to join us in a program to liberate stress and energy. After guiding a meaningful conversation on what we could do, I realized a conclusion that I shared on Tuesday: “In a world filled with darkness, filled with hatred, we hold an immense light to enact change. Why? Because we hold immense power not only for our individual actions but because in BBYO you will find fellow Alephs and BBG’s willing and ready to take on those projects that will change the world.”

Click and send. That's how hard it was to send the message to Germany. It meant officially that the war was not only on my phone and in Israel but that they were outside of the Middle East. Although I was never oblivious, sending that message in the middle of my ethics class confirmed that the global Jewish community is being targeted.
